A Busy Day For MFR!
On Saturday, Midway Fire Rescue started the day with a couple medical calls and a vehicle fire on Ocean Highway at Pastaria 811. The crews arrived with an engine compartment fire and extinguished it quickly.
Around Midnight, Midway Fire Rescue was dispatched to a head on collision near the entrance of Brookgreen Gardens. The units arrived on scene confirming a two-vehicle accident, head on, with injuries. After a few minutes, one patient was extricated and transported to Grand Strand Trauma Center. The other patient was deceased at the scene.
As units were operating the other accident, Midway Units were dispatched to the area of MLK and Waverly Road for a single vehicle accident in the ditch. Midway Fire Rescue units arrived on scene confirming one patient entrapped in the vehicle. The units removed the roof to gain access to the patient. The patient was transported to a local hospital.
All units cleared the scenes around 3 a.m.
