Firefighters Complete 5K Race!

On Saturday November 14th, six members of Midway Fire Rescue participated in the Historic Georgetown Bridge 2 Bridge 5K race. Five Midway Fire Rescue members completed the race wearing firefighter turnout gear thus adding several more pounds and creating a greater challenge. All members completed the race and had a lot of fun while promoting the message of the importance of firefighter fitness. The members participating were Battalion Chief Jeff Pifer, Battalion Chief Brent McClellan, Master Firefighter Joe Palombi, Firefighter/Paramedic Niki Crippen, Firefighter Luke Voglar and Firefighter Aaron Bostic. The hopes of all that participated are to encourage other firefighters to join in next time around and continue the awareness for improved physical fitness.
